About the work

Co-commissioned with our Light Up The North Partners, Lightpool, Light Up Lancaster, Illuminate Oldham and Lightwaves, Salford, we are delighted to present this new piece by the brilliant illumaphonium - Somnius.

Somnius transcends the boundaries of waking life, elevating us to a state unbound and mutable. A mesmerising sky of light and sound dances above us in response to our every movement. Reminding us of our ongoing relationship with the cosmos, nature and each other. We are free to explore another version of what life could look like. An unrestricted reimagining of the world. Together. Somnius is not an individual dream, but a collective one.
